About me

I was born in Budapest. I went to elementary and secondary school in Dorog. My choice of career was strongly influenced by my connections with the local artists, such as György Kollár, János I. Véghváry, Ferenc Furlán painters, who stimulated me, and Viktor Vasarely, with whom I used to correspond with the help of my history of art professor, Ferenc Bodri.  As the student of János Seres and János Blaskó I graduated in the Teachers Collage of Miskolc, in 1977, and took a degree in biology and drawing. In 1983, I applied for the Hungarian Academy of fine arts, where my masters were Tibor Bráda and László Patai painters; furthermore, Dr. László Rónai art historian. I took my second degree here in 1986. I started out on my career in Dorog, in the Zrínyi Ilona elementary school, but in 2002, I gave up teaching, and I put creation in the center of my life. At present, I work as a designer. As a collage student and later as a teacher I took part in personal and collective exhibitions. My panel paintings are made with mixed or oil technique, but I also deal with aquarelles and mordant technique. I have made paintings on silk for many years now. Thanking to Ferenc Árvai I acquired fire-enameling. I work with liquid paints, luster, which is unique in itself; the effect is special, not characteristic of the traditional fire-enamel. I like experimenting with new techniques and materials. This technique is an inexhaustible source of opportunities. My works were on display in many Hungarian cities what is more, they reached several parts of the world.
